Wi-Fi speed is the same as Wi-Fi connection. It determines how quickly things load, download, and stream for you online. The speed of your connection has everything to do with having a strong signal connection.
Wi-Fi speed matters for a few reasons. But mostly, slow internet is annoying and frustrating. No one wants to be in the middle of a family movie and the connection buffers for minutes at a time. Or, how about trying to upload an important file, but it won’t upload.
With a strong Wi-Fi signal and fast connection, these worries fall into the past. You won’t have to miss the exciting part of your favorite show or miss a deadline for uploading a file.
How to do a WiFi Speed Test:
Download the speed test app from the app store or play store. If you’re on PC click here to run the WiFi Speed Test online.
When getting ready to run the test make sure all other devices are not connected to the local network.
To test the connection you can do it over WiFi with a strong signal or via a PC cable connected to your router.
Stand close to the router when testing the speed. This provides a more accurate figure of the speeds available.
Press the ‘GO’ button on the test page.
Run your test when ready and record your results from the top of the page. The results will show your download speed, upload speed, and your ping.
